This article aim's to study and criticizes Frankl's view on the meaning of life based on Islamic sources. The main question of the research is: what are the problems with Frankl's view based on Islamic sources? Through the studies conducted, we have come to the following answer: 1. The human soul has a divine origin that was given to him as a special gift at the beginning of creation, after the creation of the physical stages. 2. Religion and the meaning based on religion have commonalities and unity, at least among its followers, and due to these common features, it can be generalized to all its followers. 3. In Islam, it is accepted that the Creator of the world spoke to man and explained his purpose of creation. 4. Suffering itself alone cannot create a meaning for life. Rather, suffering become meaningful and tolerable in the shadow of God's service. So, the most important criticisms of Frankl's view include his materialistic view of man, the insufficient attention to the spiritual dimensions, and the difference in the concept of the soul. While Islam emphasizes the existence of the soul as a divine essence independent of the body, Frankl paid less attention to this dimension.
