Islamic psychology, as an interdisciplinary field, requires the development of conceptual frameworks that can explain the structural relationships between psychological constructs from the perspective of religious texts. This research is an analytical review aimed at investigating the possibility and necessity of developing relational models among psychological concepts through religious texts. The research was conducted by analyzing the content of previous studies in the field of research methods in Islamic psychology and works related to theorizing and modeling with a psychological approach through religious texts. The findings showed that religious texts, while possessing various levels of psychological analysis, have a unique capacity to identify and delineate structural relationships between psychological constructs. This study, while briefly explaining its possibility and necessity, presents the evolutionary trajectory of research from the level of describing individual concepts towards analyzing structural relationships, and proposes a general framework for developing relational models. The results of this study can serve as a basis for the development of indigenous theories in Islamic psychology.
