This article examines and comparatively analyzes the foundations of Skinner's behaviorism theory with the anthropological and psychological principles in Islamic resources. Skinner's theory, which emphasizes the objective observation of behavior, environmental influences, and a system of reinforcement and punishment, stands in contrast to the Islamic perspective on human beings, which highlights multidimensionality, the possession of a soul, free will, innate nature (fitrah), and the potential for perfection. By referencing authoritative sources and employing a descriptive-analytical method, this article first explains the principles of Skinner's theory, then reviews the foundations of Islamic anthropology. Subsequently, it explores points of convergence and divergence, as well as the feasibility of dialogue between these two paradigms. The findings indicate that, despite fundamental differences in the nature of human beings, some techniques based on operant conditioning (such as positive reinforcement) can be applied within the framework of Islamic values and with consideration for the holistic existence of humans, particularly in the fields of education and behavior modification—provided that they do not negate concepts such as free will, intention, and the spiritual dimension of human beings.
