Inferring the factors of family peace from the Quran

Abstract

The Holy Quran is the guide for human life until the Day of Resurrection, and therefore it must always be responsive to his needs. The current research was conducted with the purpose of obtaining the perspective of the Quran regarding the factors of family peace through the inference method. For this purpose, factors of family peace based on valid approaches and models in psychology were extracted and categorized then presented on the Quran, so as to obtain the perspective of the Quran in this field. The results of the research show that many verses in the Quran are related to the topic of the research. The factors that are mentioned about the peace of the family in the Quran include 1) Spouses are clothes for each other 2) kindness 3) modesty 4) mercy 5) Good companionship 6) boundary management 7) Providing basic needs 8) economic openness 9) differentiation of gender roles 10) referring to an expert and committed consultant, 11) intellectual and emotional growth, 12) physical and mental health, and 13) faith. It was also found that the view of the Quran is in most cases close to the view of psychology regarding the factors of peace and health of the family, but the system that the Quran provides about these factors is unique and new.
