Abstract

The present study aimed to predict family efficiency based on responsibility and the mediating role of self-control. This descriptive-correlational research targeted married men and women in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. A sample of 150 participants was randomly selected. Data were collected using the Family Efficiency Questionnaire (Safurai, 2009), the Responsibility Scale (Gough, 1984), and the Self-Control Scale (Rafiee Honar, 2016). The findings were analyzed using correlation coefficients and linear regression. Results revealed: (a) significant positive relationships between family efficiency and its three dimensions with responsibility and self-control; (b) a significant positive relationship between family efficiency and responsibility; (c) a significant positive relationship between self-control and responsibility.
