The present study aimed to predict marital infidelity based on couple boundaries and marital satisfaction. This research was conducted using a descriptive-correlational design. The statistical population consisted of married men and women aged 20 to 55 who were members of virtual social networks in Qom. According to the 2023 census, this population included 724,358 individuals. A total of 384 participants were selected using Cochran’s formula through stratified and cluster sampling methods. Data were collected using the Couple Boundaries Questionnaire (Hoshyari et al., 2020), the Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale (1986), and the Marital Infidelity Questionnaire (Zarei et al., 2022). Cronbach’s alpha coefficients for the instruments were 0.94 for couple boundaries, 0.92 for marital satisfaction, and 0.80 for marital infidelity, indicating acceptable reliability. Descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics including Pearson correlation and simultaneous multiple regression analysis, were used to analyze the data via SPSS-26. The results showed significant negative correlations between couple boundaries and marital infidelity (r = -0.61), and between marital satisfaction and marital infidelity (r = -0.42) (p < 0.01). Multiple regression analysis revealed that couple boundaries and marital satisfaction significantly predicted marital infidelity (F(2, 381) = 101.69, p < 0.01). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.35, indicating that the predictor variables explained 35% of the variance in marital infidelity. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that interventions targeting couple boundaries and marital satisfaction may help reduce marital infidelity.
